Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Malanje, Nelo de Carvalho, urged the political alignment and dedication of the activists in the tasks aimed at preparing the 2027 elections, towards the party’s victory.
Speaking during a meeting with party activists included in the Provincial and Municipal Electoral Commissions, Nelo de Carvalho considered it imperative to start early in the search for contributions and strategies so that the MPLA can win another election again.
“There needs to be political alignment and that comrades help the presidents of the Electoral Commissions to achieve the objectives and goals recommended for the 2027 elections”, he stressed, adding that to this end, activists are called to set goals and work on organization and functioning of electoral bodies.
On the other hand, according to the secretary, this stance obliges the member to be loyal and maintain the spirit of mission and commitment to the party’s work.
Lasting just a few hours, the meeting aims to address the performance of party members assigned to the Electoral Commissions, the process of filling vacancies in the Electoral Commissions, quotas and contributions, among other matters.
The session includes the participation of activists who hold positions as provincial and municipal electoral commissioners and party leaders.
