Africa-Press – Angola. This Wednesday, the Executive approved a Presidential Decree that sets the National Minimum Wage at the value of 70 thousand kwanzas and 50 thousand for micro-enterprises and start-ups.

The decree approved at the 6th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, establishes that after 12 months from the date of entry into force of the approved diploma, the amount of the national minimum wage is set at 100 thousand kwanzas.

According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, released today, still in terms of remuneration, another new feature is the minimum amount of old-age retirement pension, survivor’s pension, disability and old-age allowance is set at 70 thousand kwanzas.

“Old-age retirement pensions, survivors’ pensions, disability pensions and old-age allowances, with a value greater than the minimum amount and less than the maximum amount foreseen, are subject to an increase of 25%”, states the note.
