Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Health presented, this Thursday, in Paris, France, data on the acceleration of urban responses to HIV/AIDS in Angola.According to the Ministry of Health, which released the information on Facebook, the data was presented during the Fast-Track Cities Conference.
On the occasion, the director-general of the National Institute for the Fight against AIDS, Lúcia Furtado, described “the legal and cultural barriers that hinder these populations’ access to prevention, diagnosis and treatment services” and reiterated the “need for more humane and specific health care to prevent new infections”.
Finally, the Angolan delegation presented “the community partnership between the IRIS Association and the Rangel Health Center, which offers a series of essential services to the key population, such as counseling, testing and humanized assistance without discrimination.”
The event took place from October 13th to 15th.
