The Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms Ltd (ARISE IIP) signed, on Monday, in Dubai, capital of the United Arab Emirates, a Memorandum of Understanding with a view to strategic cooperation for the development of industrial clusters within the perimeter managed by the SEZ. According to a press release, the Memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SEZ, Manuel Francisco Pedro, and the Executive Director, Amorbelo Vinevala Paulino Sitongua, and on behalf of ARISE IIP, the document was signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Amit Manikchand Agrawal.

The Memorandum of Understanding is valid for 12 months and may be renewed by mutual agreement, constituting a solid basis for the future implementation of strategic projects within the perimeter of the Special Economic Zone.This agreement, the source highlights, establishes the terms of cooperation between the two entities for the purpose of carrying out technical, economic, environmental and legal feasibility studies, with a focus on the development of industrial clusters integrated into the industrial reserves of the EP Special Economic Zone, namely the Viana and Uala Reserves.
