Africa-Press – Angola. Egypt”The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, said this Sunday in Cairo that “Angola is ready to exchange experiences and deepen the historical relations of friendship, solidarity and trade that already exist with the Arab Republic of Egypt”.

For Téte António, who was speaking upon landing in the Egyptian capital from Rome, Italy, the two countries have been working hard to boost bilateral relations, with a focus on strengthening cooperation in different areas of political, economic and commercial life.

The minister is in Cairo to participate in official talks, at the highest level, between delegations from Angola and the host country, to be held from the 28th to the 30th of this month.

For Téte António, quoted in a MIREX press release, Angola considers it essential to reinforce, expand and consolidate bilateral cooperation with Egypt, especially in sectors such as political-diplomatic, defense, security, internal order, terrorism, sport, economy, health, education, technical and professional training, oil and gas, finance, agriculture and fishing.“It is also in Angola’s interest to hold, on a date to be agreed through diplomatic channels, the First Meeting of the Bilateral Commission between the two countries, to discuss issues of mutual interest, and to proceed with the signing of more legal instruments to further cement this relationship”, the statement highlights.
