Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will arrive tomorrow (Monday) in Cairo for a two-day official visit, the Presidency of the Republic announced this Sunday. The Head of State was previously in Rome, Italy, where he attended the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday, according to a statement released on social media and seen.
President João Lourenço’s visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt is in response to an invitation from President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi, with whom he will meet on Tuesday morning, before witnessing the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements in various fields together.
“Another highlight of João Lourenço’s mission to Cairo will be a meeting on Wednesday with the Egyptian business community to assess investment prospects in both countries”, the statement reads.
According to the statement, on March 3, 4 and 5, the Head of State, João Lourenço, was in the Egyptian capital representing the African Union, which he is presiding over an Arab League summit dedicated to the reconstruction of Gaza.
