U.S. Embassy Announces New Chargé D’Affaires for Angola and SãO Tomé and PríNcipe

Africa-Press – Angola. The U.S. Embassy in Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe announced on Wednesday the appointment of Jeremey Neitzke as interim Chargé d’Affaires in Luanda. Jeremey Neitzke, who previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Maputo, succeeds Ambassador James Story, who is scheduled to depart on May 5, 2025.

In a press release, the U.S. Embassy highlighted the work of Ambassador James Story and his leadership role with a focus on partnership, dialogue, and collaboration, including reaffirming the United States’ strong commitment to the Lobito Corridor.

His successor, Jeremey Neitzke, is described as an experienced diplomat and career member of the Senior Diplomatic Service.
