Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Luanda will host, in October this year, together with AUDA-NEPAD, the 3rd Summit on Infrastructure Financing in Africa. This was announced this Wednesday in Luanda by the President of the African Union, João Lourenço, at the opening with AUDA-NEPAD and AAAMFI for the operationalization of the African Development Fund.
“We would like to have the support of your prestigious institutions, in identifying structural projects with the potential to accelerate the sustainable and integrated development of the continent and in structuring the respective financing”, appealed João Lourenço.
At the meeting, which took place at the Palácio Presencial da Cidade Alta, the leader of the African Union recalled that Africa faces “a great lack of investment and financing for road, port, airport, energy and telecommunications infrastructures”, among others.
