Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan karateka Mário Silva will participate in the Kyokushin World Championship in November this year, in Saudi Arabia, according to a note from the Spanish embassy that this Tuesday.
The athlete qualified after participating in the International Championship of the specialty, held in Zaragoza, Spain, on the seventh of this month, in which he received a unanimous vote from the jury.
With Mário Silva’s performance on Spanish soil, the country was praised by the president of the International Kyokushin Federation, António Pinero, who acknowledged the rapid national development of the specialty.
At the time, the athlete was received by the Angolan ambassador to Spain, Balbina Malheiros Dias da Silva.
Mário Silva also stands out as a certified athlete in three world-renowned karate organizations, and is currently the representative of the Kyokushin World Karate Federation in Angola.
