Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço reiterated the Angolan Executive’s continuous focus on building more schools, hospitals and roads, in order to provide better services for the population.

According to the Angolan Head of State, who gave a major interview to the Angolan Public Television (TPA), as part of the Angola 50th anniversary, to be marked on Nov 11, the major challenges continue to be the construction of more infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals roads and railways.

In the interview, published on Monday (09) evening, the Head of State reiterated the need for a greater supply of quality education for Angolans.

João Lourenço also spoke about the supply of food products, with emphasis on basic food basket products and essential goods.

“All of this must be a non-stop work, done not only by the Govt, but by the Angolan society, where everyone is called upon to contribute so that we can then achieve what we can consider sufficient to satisfy the population’s basic needs”, he said.

According to the statesman, the growth rate of the Angolan population is high, which means that “no matter how much we do in terms of building hospitals and schools, there will always be a shortage, but this is the great challenge”.

President João Lourenço considered private initiative to be welcome in the aforementioned sectors, since no govt is capable of satisfying all needs alone.
