Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda and 1.o de Agosto, two of the biggest powerhouses in national handball, crushed their respective opponents on Monday, confirming their status as favourites to win the 46th National Senior Men’s Handball Championship.
In the additional matches of the first round of the competition, which is taking place at the Cidadela Desportiva pavilion in the capital Luanda, Petro beat GD 4 de Junho by 40-16, while 1.o de Agosto did the same against Escolinha São João, both matches for series A.
For series C, AMCK do Bié lost to GD Hadja Models by 22-43, and GD Gaitos beat Escolinha do Namibe by 28-25 in series B.
