Africa-Press – Angola. The lack of suitable spaces for performances is affecting the development of theater and the appreciation of art, said Adelino Caracol, general director of the Horizont Njinga Mbandi arts company Tuesday in Luanda.

The director said that the lack of performance venues and the poor state of existing venues are affecting the development of theater in the country and that the lack of a new performance space led to the sudden closure of the theater group’s scheduled activities, some of which had sold tickets.

Composed of teachers and students from different educational levels divided into three groups (seniors, juniors, and children), the group’s main activities are theater, dance, music, drawing, and painting.

The company, which has performed at several national and international events, is also known for its philosophy of self-sufficiency and cultural entrepreneurship.
