Africa-Press – Angola. The provinces of Luanda and Huíla will benefit from training centers in music, theater, dance, and film, in 2026 as part of a cultural and tourism project called “Rota do Semba.”

Without disclosing the investment amount or the construction’s kick off, on Wednesday’s statement in Lubango, the coordinator of the “Semba In The Word” project, Hélio Aragão, stated that each center will train up to 1,000 artists and tourists annually.

He stated that this private initiative aims to transform Angola into a national cultural reference, capable of serving the cultural industries and strengthening its identity both within and outside the country.

He announced that the plan includes training young talent as the “first major stage” of the program, in collaboration with local governments, business owners, and municipal technical groups.

Hélio Aragão emphasized the importance of selecting a strategic cultural product for each province to consolidate the tourist route planned by the “Rota do Semba” (Semba Route).

“The goal is to showcase Angola to the world and reveal the true essence of the country, not only through cinema, but also through cultural and tourism products capable of attracting international visitors and investors,” he stated.
