Africa-Press – Angola. The Lev ‘Arte literary movement in Saurimo elected its new provincial coordinator for Lunda-Sul, Noé Jamba Silêncio, during its 3rd Ordinary Assembly.

The assembly, which brought together 40 delegates from the 14 municipalities that make up the province, had two members competing.

On the occasion, Noé Silêncio promised to work with everyone for the development of literature at the regional level, as well as in a democratic environment with constructive dialogue, valuing authors in the pursuit of cultural identity.

Among several projects, he listed the implementation of door-to-door book distribution in communities, leadership and entrepreneurship training, involving children in literary creation projects, creating reading clubs in schools, and debates on the development of logical reasoning and art in the region and the country in general.

To the outgoing coordinator, André Iânvua, he congratulated the internal democracy among the members and reiterated that although he is no longer in charge, he will remain connected to the literary movement.

He said that the five years he led the cultural association were years of learning, challenges, and achievements, lived with a spirit of unity, responsibility, and love for the cultural cause, appealing to the current coordinator for more inclusive work in favor of the movement.

In turn, the representative of the Provincial Youth Council (CPJ), Guerra Francisco, recognized the fundamental role of the Lev’Arte group, embodied in the rescue and promotion of the civic, moral, and cultural values ​​of youth, underlining the importance of youth associations as an instrument of social transformation.Noé Silêncio replaced André Iânvua, who led the organization for five years.

The Lev ́Arte group has existed in Lunda-Sul since 2014 and has more than 50 members.
