Africa-Press – Angola. At least six thousand jobs, both direct and indirect, will be created as a result of the opening of the “Outlet Fashion Mall” shopping center, recently inaugurated in the municipality of Viana, Luanda, representing a private investment of over 60 million dollars.
According to the head of the establishment, Ms Núria Figueiredo, the infrastructure has 85 shops inside and 45 outside, also including various commercial areas and offices, as well as a hotel with 47 rooms.
She said that it was designed to strengthen the supply of services and attract a greater flow of national and international visitors.
Regarding employment, she explained that, of the total jobs to be created, more than two thousand correspond to direct jobs, highlighting the commitment of the enterprise to youth employability, as well as local development.
According to her, about 95% of the workers are young Angolans, a fact that gives the project a strong social dimension.
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Outlets Investment and Chinese businessman, Jin, emphasized the group’s confidence in Angola’s economic potential, stating that the investment aims to contribute to the creation of job opportunities, especially for young people.
On the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, reaffirmed the continued interest of his country and Chinese companies in pursuing investments in Angola, in various sectors of the economy.
The diplomat highlighted the commercial complex as a concrete and successful example of bilateral economic cooperation and took the opportunity to encourage other Chinese entrepreneurs to follow the same path.
Zhang Bin also praised the investor’s vision, courage and sense of social responsibility, highlighting the project’s positive impact on the employability of young Angolans.
The Vice-Governor of Luanda for the Economic Sector, Jorge Augusto, highlighted that investments of this nature add value to the province from both a social and economic perspective.
The main benefit was considered to be the creation of job opportunities for thousands of young Angolans, within a context of growth and diversification of the local economy.
However, with the opening of the Outlet Fashion Mall, Viana reinforces its position as one of the main commercial development hubs in the province of Luanda, consolidating itself as a prime destination for private investment and job creation.
