Africa-Press – Angola. An Angolan delegation from the Ministry of Health (MINSA) has been on a working visit to Paris, France, since Tuesday to strengthen bilateral cooperation and accelerate projects to modernize the Angolan National Health System.

According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in France, the two-day visit focuses on hospital engineering, clinical governance, and specialized training. The delegation is headed by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta.

It states that the initiative is a significant step in the Angolan government’s commitment to adopting the highest international standards of medical and technical excellence.

The delegation includes senior staff from MINSA, the National Institute of Ophthalmology of Angola (IONA), and the Health Human Resources Training Program. They will participate in working sessions on human resources management, quality, patient safety, and more.

The program includes an intensive immersion at the Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital (HFAR), a world-renowned ophthalmology center, as well as a visit to the Nouveau Lariboisière hospital project to compare its medical, technical, and architectural standards.

This analysis, the statement said, will serve as the basis for developing the N’Gangula Maternity Hospital project in Luanda and for exploring innovative financing models.

“This initiative reaffirms the Angolan government’s strategic vision for the health sector: investing in knowledge transfer and the continuous training of professionals, as well as constructing modern, efficient hospital infrastructures that guarantee superior-quality healthcare for all citizens”, reads the statement.
