Africa-Press – Angola. The National Assembly (AN) will hold its 6th Ordinary Plenary Meeting this Thursday (22), with the aim to discuss and approve various bills, as well as carry out the substitution of MPs, with special emphasis on the suspension of the mandate of deputy Carolina Cerqueira, at her request.
According to a note from the parliament, the agenda includes the final overall vote on the Draft Law that amends Law No. 22/21, of October 18, which approves the Angolan Passport Law and the Regime for the Exit and Entry of National Citizens, as well as the Draft Law that approves the Statute of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO).
For the day, it is also scheduled the discussion and voting in a general session of the draft law on the Military Discipline Code, which amends Law No. 13/18 of October 29 (Law on Military Careers in the Angolan Armed Forces), as well as draft laws related to combating fake news on the internet and cybersecurity, among others.
In the period preceding the agenda, the deputies will read announcements and official documents, deliver quarterly political statements, and address internal matters.
It should be recalled that, in the last ordinary plenary session, the MPs approved only the overall State General Budget (OGE) for the 2026 fiscal year, with estimated revenues and expenditures of 33.2 billion kwanzas.
