Africa-Press – Angola. The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), assigned to the Municipal Police Command of Icolo e Bengo, Luanda province, benefited, this Thursday, from IT resources, in an initiative by the local Administration.
The gift as part of the National Police anniversary festivities, consisting of computers and printers, was delivered to the municipal commander, Mateus Vasco, by the local administrator, Isabel Nicolau dos Santos.
In an interview, the commander said that the offer is of great value as it will help to streamline the avalanche of administrative work.
According to the expert, the corporation’s biggest concern is the need for literacy in the spirit of reporting, with a view to providing more fruitful service to citizens.
“It is our opportunity for the population to report illegal acts to the competent bodies, as it is through this means that we can highlight the points necessary for their mitigation and thus improve the feeling of security”, he pointed out.
After handing over the resources, the municipal administrator toured the SIC facilities and received explanations from the commander about the functioning of the institution.
