Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal administrator of Buco-Zau, Cabinda province, Óscar Dilo, defended, on Monday, the expansion of higher education in the region, to combat inequality and promote social integration.
Óscar Dilo, said university extension plays a significant role in the social, economic and cultural development of the region, bringing academia closer to the needs and aspirations of young people.
In his opinion, the absence of higher education institutions in the municipality of Buco-Zau has contributed to the emigration of young people to other regions of the country to continue their studies.
Óscar Dilo assured that there are advanced conversations with public and private institutions, with a view to implementing the intention in the near future.
The municipality of BUCO-ZAU is located 120 kilometers north of the city of Cabinda, limited to the north by the municipality of Belize, bordering to the East with the Republic of Congo, to the West with the Democratic Republic of Congo and to the South with the municipality of Cacongo.
