Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Association of Service Providers of the Angolan Oil Industry (AECIPA), Bráulio de Brito, considered the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) an interaction platform for the growth and consolidation of local content.

He underlined that the biggest business showcase in the country brings together the surrounding entities from the various members of the value chain, whether from the oil sector or from other key sectors for the growth of the Angolan economy.

He stressed that AECIPA, as it is a group made up of around 160 service providers in the Angolan oil industry, its presence at the event indicates the importance of the sector in the context of FILDA and in the socio-economic development of Angola.

“As you know, our economy is supported by the oil industry and we, as service providers, represent the entire value chain of this industry, as such our presence here is extremely important for us to assert, let’s say, the importance of our sector and also the importance of our contribution to the socio-economic development of Angola”, he emphasized.

He stressed that FILDA, in addition to being a showcase, is a business center that gives the possibility of interaction between the various companies whether in the service sector as operators or others.

AECIPA has more than 160 members and is focused on continuing to be the voice of the sector and the main partner of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels, operating companies and all other government agents and beyond, which in one way or another, contribute to the good performance of the Angolan Oil Industry, in support of the social and economic development of Angola.

The 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) took place in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), a space that receives the FILDA label, with the participation of 1,302 exhibitors from around 15 countries.

The event takes place under the motto “Digital economy, the new world frontier” and had the participation of the business area of ​​the Embassy of the United States of America, marking the debut of this country in the event.

The return of Brazil, with the participation of the Association of Brazilian Entrepreneurs and the Embassy of the country in Angola.

Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Indonesia, Turkey, Germany, Japan, among others, are also part of the range of countries that paraded their offers at FILDA 2023.

The 37th edition of FILDA took place from the 16th to the 20th of July 2022 at the ZEE, in an area of ​​21 thousand square meters, having brought together 629 exhibitors and registered more than 32 thousand visitors.
