Africa-Press – Angola. The implementation of the decisions of the recent Extraordinary Summit on Combating Terrorism and Unconstitutional Changes of Government in Africa dominated the agenda of the meeting that the Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia and permanent representative to the African Union, Francisco da Cruz, held yesterday, in Addis Ababa, with the commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the continental organization, Bankole Adeoye.
The two diplomats outlined a set of actions aimed at materializing the conclusions of the Malabo Summit, especially on the role of the “Champion/Promoter for peace and reconciliation in Africa”, the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço. Embassy of Angola in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Permanent Representation to the African Union and CEA, Francisco da Cruz took the opportunity to thank the interlocutor for the remarkable commitment to ensure that the Summit, proposed and chaired by the Angolan Head of State, had taken place successfully, in late May, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Commissioner Bankole Adeoye once again praised Angola for the vision that President João Lourenço had in drawing the continent’s attention to reflect on and find ways to combat the scourges of terrorism and unconstitutional regime changes (coups d’état), which affect the achievement of the objectives of Agenda 2063, mainly concerning the silencing of the guns and the economic development of Africa.
