African MMA Championship Participants Expected in Angola on Thursday

Africa-Press – Angola. Delegations from the countries participating in the African Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship, which Angola will host from the 13th to the 19th of this month, will begin arriving in Luanda next Thursday (July 9th).

According to the president of the Angolan federation of the sport, Armando Diogo, officials and judges from the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) are also expected during the same period.

At least 13 countries are confirmed for the event, namely Algeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ghana, Mauritius, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Republic of Congo, in addition to Angola.

The competition will take place in the youth, junior and senior categories, at the Cidadela Pavilion, in Luanda, being the third time that Angola has hosted the event, after the 2023 and 2025 editions, in which it was crowned champion.

The national team includes 146 athletes, distributed across the three age groups in the male and female classes.
