Africa-Press – Angola. The director general of the Journalists Training Center (CEFOJOR), Ikuma Bamba, said this Monday in Luanda that the agreement signed with the Lusa News Agency in Portugal will boost the new dynamics in national journalism, taking into account the challenges of the future.
As part of the 48-hour visit of the Prime Minister of Portugal, António da Costa, to Angola, the two governments initialed, in the field of media, the Protocol between Cefojor and Agência Lusa, with a focus on professional training
.
The agreement was initialed by CEFOJOR director general, Ikuma Bamba, and by the correspondent of Agência Lusa in Angola, Raquel Rio.
“The challenges are enormous, from the training point of view. Not only in the field of the written press, but also for multimedia”, highlighted the responsible, in statements to journalists, on the sidelines of signing the document.
Lusa, informed Ikuma Bamba, has experience to share with Angolan professionals, which will allow national journalists to provide an increasingly better public service.
In the wake of staff training, Ikuma Bamba informed that the priority is to train professionals in Angola, without neglecting the possibility of exploring LUSA’s infrastructure in Lisbon, Portugal.
The two countries, in addition to this agreement, also signed others, with emphasis on the areas of
finance, fisheries, health, construction and the port sector, in the presence of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço and the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa .
