Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Transport, Ricardo D’Abreu, assured this Wednesday, in Luanda, that the problem of citizens who purchased tickets “not recognized by the TAAG system” is being resolved by the National Civil Aviation Authority ( ANAC).
According to the official, it is an ongoing matter and, obviously, involves the defense of the consumer’s interest, a responsibility of ANAC and other entities that license commercial activity in Angola.
“We have the competent national authorities who are working on the matter, as it is not the Ministry of Transport that should work on this issue”, clarified the minister, who was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the XII Meeting of Presidents of the Boards of Directors and Directors of the Community of Lusophone Civil Aviation Authorities (CAACL), which takes place from the 19th to the 21st of this month, in Luanda.
On the occasion, he recalled that one of the success factors of the last audit by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) of Angola was, essentially, the administrative and independent nature of ANAC, an entity that should address the problem of tickets not recognized by the TAAG.
In the last week, hundreds of passengers were prevented from traveling to various destinations around the world, for having purchased tickets “not recognized by Transportadora Aérea Angola, TAAG”.
