The ambassador of Angola to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Nelson Cosme, announced that a delegation of Egyptian businessmen and investors will visit the country, from the 20th to the 25th of this month, to evaluate investment opportunities, mainly in the areas of industries and equipment, and transport.
In an interview published Sunday by the Daily News Egypt, the diplomat says that the business initiative follows the Angola-Egypt investment roundtable, held last March, during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, which resulted in the production of a report on Egypt’s engineering exports to the country.
In the interview, which took place at the end of a visit to the facilities of Daily News Egypt, Ambassador Nelson Cosme discusses cooperation between Angola and Egypt, the results of the visit by Minister Téte António, joint projects in the field of energy, the Aswan Forum on sustainable development and COP-27.
Cooperation
Cooperation between Angola and Egypt covers many areas, as there are many Egyptian companies working and with projects in Angola, such as Elsewedy, Orascom and Arab Contractors, all of which contribute to Angola’s reconstruction and development processes, said the diplomat. .
Furthermore, it considers that the strengthening of cooperation with Egypt must take on a political and economic orientation at the same time and at all levels.
In the interview, Ambassador Nelson Cosme praised the development of bilateral relations with Egypt, highlighting the leading role in supporting peace and stability efforts on the African continent, and the main contribution to advancing the joint African agenda 2063, under the aegis of of the African Union.
He also praised Egypt’s historic support for African countries and peoples, during and after the struggles for liberation from colonialism.
