The information was provided this Monday, in Dundo, by the director of the Cacanda Prison, Luciano Vicente Miguel, who was speaking to the press about the 44 years of institutionalization of this body of the Ministry of the Interior.

Despite this fact, the establishment designed for 480 prisoners continues to be overcrowded, currently housing 612 inmates.

He added that in coordination with the justice administration bodies in the region, the reassessment of the processes of some prisoners is underway, in order to be released under the Amnesty Law.

He said that this and other measures will help reduce overcrowding in the prison.
