Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and China signed, this Friday, in Beijing, twelve legal instruments to expand bilateral cooperation in different areas, with emphasis on agriculture.
In addition to the agricultural sector, legal instruments were signed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, in areas such as sport, trade, sustainable development and digital infrastructures.
These are the agreements on Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Economic Development, Green, Ecological and Low Carbon Development, on the Digital Economy and on the establishment of a Working Group for the Promotion of Unhindered Trade.
In the field of communication, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the Exchange and Cooperation of the Media, and the Constitution of the Working Group on Investment and Economic Cooperation and on the Promotion of Investment Cooperation in the field of Green Sustainable Development.
The texts, signed as part of President João Lourenço’s visit to the “Asian giant”, aim to create a new dynamic in economic, diplomatic and commercial relations between the two States.
Before signing the agreements, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, proposed the renewal of bilateral cooperation between the countries in various areas.
The Chinese Head of State, who spoke during the meeting with the Angolan President, João Lourenço, at the People’s Palace, highlighted that relations between the two countries are advanced and will continue to support Angola.
The relationship between the two countries has lasted 40 years, a reason to continue friendship and cooperative relations.
