Angola and Egypt Advocate for more Dynamic Relations between the Two Countries

Africa-Press – Angola. On Tuesday, in Cairo, Presidents João Lourenço of Angola and Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi of Egypt advocated for a different dynamic to the cooperation relations between the two countries. In statements made shortly after the signing ceremony of two memoranda on telecommunications and public works, the two statesmen recalled that there have been many decades of formal relations (50 years will be celebrated in 2026) but this is not reflected in the level of what has been built as a result of this relationship.

President Al-Sisi pointed out areas to which attention will need to be focused in the development of bilateral cooperation, such as health, tourism, security and the fight against corruption, among many others.

For his part, President João Lourenço also indicated sectors where the connection on the Cairo-Luanda axis can also be strengthened, specifically mentioning the pharmaceutical industry, vaccine production, defense and security, the fight against terrorism, among others.
