Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and the Seychelles Islands signed this Sunday in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, an Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Diplomatic, Official, and Service Passports.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ivato Conference Center and was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the Prime Minister and Minister of Fisheries and Economy of the Seychelles, Jean-François Ferrari.
The legal instrument aims to establish the general terms and conditions for visa exemption for nationals holding diplomatic, official, and service passports of both countries.
In this context, the parties encourage the development of bilateral relations, aiming to facilitate the movement of nationals of their respective countries between their respective territories.
Diplomatic relations between Angola and Seychelles were officially established on November 7, 1986.
These relations have strengthened in recent years, with a focus on economic cooperation, connectivity, and joint participation in regional forums.
Both nations have expressed interest in expanding the partnership into strategic areas such as tourism, aviation, and education.
