Angola and the United States of America discuss partnership in the Atlantic Basin

Africa-Press – Angola. The Governments of Angola and the United States of America (USA) addressed, this Tuesday, in Luanda, issues related to the launch of the Atlantic Basin Partnership, scheduled for a meeting, to take place in the first half of September, in Lisbon, Portugal.

The aforementioned matter was discussed at the Angolan diplomacy headquarters between the head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, and the ambassador of the United States of America to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi.

The occasion was used by the American diplomat to congratulate the Angolan people on the success of the elections, recalling that his country followed the electoral process as an observer, in different Angolan provinces. The Atlantic Basin aims to complement all other existing initiatives in relation to the management and preservation of the North, Central and South Atlantic, indicates the note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to which Jornal de Angola had access yesterday. During the meeting, the two individuals also reviewed issues of bilateral interest and regional forums.

The United States of America is a Federal Constitutional Republic made up of 50 states and a Federal District. It is washed by the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordering Canada to the North and Mexico to the South.

The United States has a mixed capitalist economy, which is fueled by abundant natural resources, a well-developed infrastructure, and high productivity.
