Africa-Press – Angola. Angola is participating in the 1st World Festival of Crafts and Traditional Costumes, which takes place from the 24th to the 28th of this month, in Antalya, Turkey.

The event is promoted by the World Crafts Council in partnership with UNESCO and was chaired by the representative of the World Crafts Council, Darlie Commen Koshay, accompanied by entities from various parts of the country.

Angola is represented by the Embassy’s Press and Culture Attaché, Amélia Conde, in collaboration with the Association of Angolan Students in Turkey.

The country displayed, at different times, sculptures, jewelry and traditional costumes, in addition to parading in the procession in occasion clothes and dancing the rivet, according to the note that JA Online had access to.

32 countries participate in the festival, predominantly those from Central Asia, with Africa represented by Angola, Algeria, Ethiopia and Morocco, which, during the 4 days, share cultural diversity, through manual arts, namely, cutting and sewing, painting , embroidery, folk dancing and singing.
