Africa-Press – Angola. The Border Guard Police in Zaire province prevented, in the last 48 hours, the illegal entry into national territory of 176 citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), for attempting to violate the border perimeter.
The information was given to the press on Saturday in Mbanza Kongo by the spokesperson for the National Police in Zaire, Superintendent Luís Bernardo, who stressed that during the period under analysis, 66 different border infractions were recorded at the Luvo, Kanga, Ntoyo, Kinguvo, Kanga Kinguvo and Marco-12 posts.
Luís Bernardo said that during Christmas, 1,040 liters of fuel and various quantities of other products were seized, which were destined for the DRC.
Of the illegal immigrants detained, 112 are men, who were referred to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) for appropriate processing.
Four municipalities in the province of Zaire, namely Luvo, Quêlo, Soyo, Nóqui and Cuimba, share a border with the Central Congo region (DRC), extending for 310 km.
