Africa-Press – Angola. Desportivo da Lunda Sul won Wednesday Nacional de Benguela, by 3-0, at the Municipal stadium, in a round of 32 of the Angolan Cup in football.
In a game where the two teams entered with the mission of passing to another phase, it was Desportivo that went ahead on the scoreboard, at 13 minutes, through Mussa.
When it looked like the home team would have to react to equalize the match, it was the Lundas who extended the score (2–0), by Bebo, a result that reached halftime.
In the resumption, Nacional brought on Adamar and Yessir in the 60th and 68th minutes of the game, which did not bring anything new for the home team.
Desportivo da Lunda Sul left Ady, Betinho, Rene, Baby and Magrinho, for Zemilson, Nonó, Bola, Hamilton and Jaime (at 61, 69, 70, 83 and 83 minutes).
When everything looked like the score ended at 0-2, Bebé, in a shot outside the area, increased it to 3-0, which prevailed until the end of the game.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the game, the coach of Nacional de Benguela, Solito Gamba, congratulated his athletes for their effort, stressing that the most important thing was to honor Akwá, a former top scorer for the club and the national team.
The coach of Desportivo da Lunda Sul, Maurilio Silva, said that they intend to go as far as possible in this second biggest football competition in the country.
“We have many strong teams ahead of us, so we have to work hard to move on to the other stages”, he said.
For Fabrício Maieco “Akwá”, the objective was above all to have a party. “I knew about the favoritism of Desportivo da Lunda Sul, for being a team that is in the first division, but we did everything to counteract it”.
He referred that Nacional will continue to work on what its objectives are and, although it may remain connected to the club, it will certainly not be in the sports chapter.
Akwá, visibly moved, thanked Nacional de Benguela and the fans at the end of the game for everything they had given him during his career.
In the round of 16 of the Angola Cup, Desportivo da Lunda Sul will face 1o de Agosto.
