Africa-Press – Angola. The National Roller Hockey Team competes, starting this Tuesday (22nd), in the second senior men’s African Championship, to be played until the 26th, in the city of Cairo, Egypt.

In this competition, the Angola team will defend the continental title won in 2019, in Luanda, facing similar teams from South Africa, Mozambique and the host country (Egypt).

In Cairo since Friday, the Angolan delegation is headed by the president of the Angolan Skating Federation (FAP), Dionísio Viegas, assisted by the sports vice-president, Orlando Graça.

In Egyptian territory (Cairo), there is also the National Roller Hockey Team in the under-19 category, which in the same period will participate in the first African in the category, alongside the hosts, South Africa and Mozambique.

The national roller hockey team, led by the president of the FAP, Dionísio Viegas, was received in audience by the Angolan ambassador to Egypt, Nelson Cosme, who was assured of a dignified participation.

It should be noted that Angola is the holder of the title of this competition, which gives access to the World Cup, won in Luanda, in 2019.

Also within the scope of Angola’s participation in this competition, ambassador Nelson Cosme maintained, on Sunday, a moment of interaction with the athletes and technical team of the national team.
