Africa-Press – Angola. A delegation from the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), led by its general director, António Paulo Bendje, has been participating since Tuesday, in the city of Lyon (France), in the annual meeting of the heads of the national offices of the International Organization of Criminal Police (INTERPOL).

The event, which ends on Thursday (25th), takes place under the motto “a united front against the threat of transnational organized crime” and will discuss Interpol projects and programs, as well as share the experience of some countries involved in the aforementioned projects..

According to a note from SIC, sent today, the event has round table sessions, distributed across Africa, America, Europe and Asia, to assess the incidence of organized crime in the specific context of each region.

At the conference center of the international city, the Angolan delegation includes the director of the National Office of INTERPOL in Angola, the representative of the SIC at the General Secretariat of Interpol in Lyon and the Head of the Administrative Department of the Office of the Director General of the SIC.

INTERPOL is an international organization that facilitates global police cooperation and crime control.

The organization was founded on September 7, 1923, in the city of Vienna, Austria, and has its headquarters in the city of Lyon (France).
