Africa-Press – Angola. Angola has been participating since Friday, in Antalya (Turkey), in the III Diplomacy Forum, which is debating important topics, with emphasis on global peace.
According to a press release, ambassador José Patrício represents Angola at the event that takes place under the motto “The Relevance of Diplomacy in Times of Crises”.
Topics such as terrorism, illegal immigration, racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia, the influence of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence on diplomacy, climate change and the role of youth in global peace are under debate at the two-day meeting.
The Angolan ambassador to Turkey, José Patrício, considered, on the sidelines of the meeting, that the rich and comprehensive agenda of the forum raises broad debates and reflections on the most varied current topics.
He added that the world faces major challenges, threats and transitions that require decision-makers to be bold, firm and wise in redesigning the new paradigm of geopolitics and sustainability strategies for the planet.
In his inaugural speech, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan pointed out that countries’ income inequalities are increasing exponentially, as well as wars becoming increasingly bloody.
The meeting, which ends this Saturday, will involve around four thousand people, including various individuals, statesmen, foreign ministers, diplomats and businesspeople.
