Africa-Press – Angola. Angola won this Friday three gold medals, one silver and one bronze in the debut of the International bodybuilding tournament “Arnold Classic”, taking place in Johannesburg (South Africa).

The National Team won gold in the “Men’s Physique Master” specialty for athletes over 40 years of age, through Aedil da Silva.

In the “Classic Physique“ category, with a height of over 1.77m, gold went to Elizangelo Ribeiro, while in the “Welness Fitness“ category, as a female, Helena Gonçalves beat the competition, in an amateur and professional event.

With this achievement, bodybuilder Helena Gonçalves received her professional athlete’s license, leaving the amateur class.

Angola also won the silver medal, for Rufino Muhungo, in the “Men ́s Physique“ category, up to 1.77m tall, while Branze won with Andrio André.

Saturday, Mário Faria, in the “Body Building Open” category, the main amateur event, defends the title that Angola won in 2022, with the athlete Aquiles Epolua, currently evolving in the professional field.

In the female amateur category, Yangelis Mojena (Bikini Fitness Open) enters the competition on Sunday, at the end of the event, which is disputed in five categories.

Also on stage are Angolans Aquiles Epolua (Body Building, up to 95 kg- (Elite Pro), Samuel Nzage (Men’s Physique- Elite Pro) and Denilson Manuel (Men’s Physique – Elite Pro).
