Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan center Bruno Fernando won the Spanish championship title with Real Madrid on Wednesday (25) night, after his team beat Valencia by 81-70 in the 3rd game of the best-of-five play-offs.
Bruno Fernando was the 2nd best scorer, with 13 points, and registered 4 rebounds in the 15 minutes played.
Despite playing at home, Valencia were unable to overcome their two-nil deficit.
Real Madrid won the first two games by 89-75 and 102-96, with the Angolan international scoring 5 and 10 points, respectively.
This is Real Madrid’s 13th final in the last 14 years.
Aged 26, Bruno Fernando is the first Angolan to play in the NBA. Since 2019, he has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors, and signed a contract with Real Madrid last January.
The 2.6m player has easily adapted to the Madrid team and during the regular season was named the most valuable player (MVP) in several matches.
