Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan canoeing, with one male and one female athlete, was fished to participate in the 2nd African beach games, from 23 to 30 May, in Tunis (Tunisia).

With the integration of canoeing, Angola will be represented at the event by three modalities, joining rowing, via qualifiers, and open water swimming, where attendance is voluntary.

This information was recently provided to the former judoka, Antónia de Fátima “Faia”, who represented the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA) at the meeting of the heads of mission, in Tunis.

Speaking on the sidelines of the third National Conference of the Angolan Association for Women and Sports (AMUD), which ended Saturday in Luanda, the current MMA athlete explained that the national canoeing was refished due to Libya’s withdrawal.

This is Angola’s second participation in the event, and in the debut edition, in Mozambique, it was represented with rowing and open water swimming.
