Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Portugal, Carlos Alberto Fonseca, presented, this Wednesday, in Lisbon, farewell greetings to the President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, Augusto Santos Silva.
According to a note from the Embassy of Angola in Portugal, Carlos Alberto Fonseca
thanked the support of the President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic in strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The note adds that ambassador Carlos Alberto Fonseca highlighted the visit to Portugal by the president of the National Assembly of Angola, Carolina Cerqueira.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva visited Angola several times, where he always expressed solidarity and support for the country’s institutions and the Angolan people.
Carlos Alberto Fonseca, who has been at the head of the Angolan Diplomatic Mission in Portugal since 2019, was recently appointed as the representative of the Angolan State to the Vatican.
