Angolan diplomat presents Letters of Credentials in Japan

Africa-Press – Angola. Diplomat Teodolinda Rodrigues Coelho presented, this week, in Tokyo, the Letters of Credentials to Emperor Naruhito, for Angola’s new ambassador to Japan.

At the accreditation ceremony, which took place at the Imperial Palace, Emperor Naruhito addressed words of welcome and congratulations to Teodolinda Rodrigues Coelho and expressed his desire to increasingly strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Teodolinda Rodrigues Coelho reaffirmed her willingness to work towards strengthening political-diplomatic relations and business economic cooperation, with a view to creating a strategic partnership between the two countries, focused on the areas of commerce and industry, technological development, energy renewable energy, tourism, fisheries and the blue economy.

“It is also intended to seek agreements that allow the training of staff and intensify cultural cooperation”, he highlighted.

Born in Luanda, Teodolinda Rodrigues Coelho has a degree in Law from the Agostinho Neto University (UAN), and served as head of the Europe and America departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), as well as ambassador and Permanent Representative of Angola in Austria and at the United Nations Offices and other International Organizations in Vienna.
