Africa-Press – Angola. Josué Isaías, stated this Wednesday in Luanda that the Peace and Development Medal he received represents a personal distinction and an encouragement to the younger generations who aspire to serve the country with dedication and professionalism.

Received from the hands of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the medal of honor was granted as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence, which will be celebrated on November 11, 2025.

Isaias highlighted the contribution of individuals whose careers have significantly contributed to Angola’s progress.

“We have pursued this profession for many years and have trained several generations who will replace us tomorrow,” he said.

For Josué Isaías, the award symbolizes the nation’s recognition of those who have worked hard, on a variety of fronts, to help develop the country.

ANGOP’s top official emphasized that the Executive’s current recognition of figures from different sectors of society is a way of honoring those who have contributed to the nation’s development over the past few decades.

“Angola is still under construction. We are not satisfied, because the country has much more to offer its children. But it is only fair that, after 50 years of independence, the effort and dedication of so many figures be publicly recognized,” he said.

In a message addressed to the new generation, Josué Isaías encouraged them to maintain perseverance and be inspired by national references.

“My message to the new generation is not to despair. Follow the example of those who came before, who worked with commitment, even in difficult circumstances. There is always room to serve the country well,” he concluded.
