Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan journalist Diniz Simão, won second place in the SADC Journalism Award 2025 edition, in the Press category.
The announcement was made Sunday in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, during the 45th ordinary summit of heads of state and government of the regional organization, which takes place under the motto “Promoting Industrialization, Agricultural Transformation and Energy Transition for a Resilient SADC”.
Diniz Simão, placed in the Provincial Delegation in Cuanza-Norte, competed with the piece “Corredor do Médio Cuanza promises to leverage SADC”.
The national winning piece, published on December 16, 2024, on the official portal, in the reportage genre, the Jury awarded the high classification, after being approved, on April 9 of this year, by the National Adjudication Committee (CNA-Angola).
Dinis Simão will receive as a prize a certificate, signed by the SADC chairperson, Emmerson Mnangagwa, Head of State of Zimbabwe, and a monetary amount of US$1,000.
