Africa-Press – Angola. Presentations of technological solutions for the market, the search for new customers and financing to leverage their products, are among the main motivations of the approximately 100 Startups participating in the 3rd Edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, which closed yesterday.
The co-founder of the innovative technological project “Awama”, Awa Joaquim Dieme, said that she wants to attract more investors for the project to help diagnose malaria, without having to draw blood from the patient.
At the Talatona Convention Centre, where ANGOTIC 2023 is taking place, from the 12th to the 14th of this month, he explained that the project uses a red light to detect changes in red blood cells, which when affected by plasmodium, the parasite that causes malaria , prevent the passage of this light.
“With the system, we were able to detect malaria, without blood collection, in just two minutes. The tests have already been proven at Hospital Maria Pia, ”she said.
Hossylandia Marília, founder of the startup Cria Mais – Serviçosográficas, indicated that she has been in the market for two years and is looking to find partners to grow in the market.
“At ANGOTIC, adherence has been good and with feedback from visitors and other partners. We seek to grow more, gain experience, attract customers and other entrepreneurs ”, she reinforced.
The head of the startup Scratch For Kide, André Paulo, made it known that they are offering digital literacy, aimed at children, in order to organize the children’s educational area.
The project offers programming, robotics and Rubik’s Cube classes, to help the little ones logical reasoning.
“We intend to show Angola and the world that we can also do digital literacy for children, as it exists in other geographies. We have a platform used in more than 200 Screet countries”, she reinforced.
Regarding funding, he says it is a step, but startups must be fully organized to overcome the difficulties that may arise, as “we are working with a company in the By to By model and we are really managing to handle the result”.
For his part, Denilvaldo Neto, who is the general director of Cinco (5) Linhas, a telecommunications investor and owner of the Aki Pagamentos application, says that they have brought a mobile payments system.
He pointed out that in the aforementioned payment system, people can pay for television, water, electricity, mobile telephony services, transfer money between platforms and also reseller services”, he stressed.
He reinforced that the interaction with the public is being pleasant, for establishing contacts with partners, for the creation of business opportunities.
“We have been preparing for the financing issues, it is a very long process and we also have the opportunity to present our solution”, he stressed.
Aylton Canje, from Nexus, advances that he presented three projects at ANGOTIC 2023, the first being digital education.
The same appears as a way to train young people through online courses, “so that they are in the market, with the respective certification for national and international companies. We created many connections, partnerships, with investors and students”.
The 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023 – International Forum of Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, with the motto “Connectivity and Technological Modernization”, takes place from 12 to 14 June, at the Talatona Convention Center, in Luanda.
ANGOTIC 2023 is a global event on information and communication technologies, held and promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
The event aims to promote debate around current, global and future issues of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), sharing knowledge and facilitating networking for government entities, exhibitors, specialists, presenting innovations, as well as trends in the sector.
The largest International Forum on Technologies in Angola “ANGOTIC 2023” has returned, after two years of interruption, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
