Army commander assesses FAA combat readiness in Upper Zambezi

Africa-Press – Angola. The commander of the Army branch of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), general João Serafim Kiteculo, is assessing the degree of combat readiness of the troops of the 30th Motorized Infantry Brigade, stationed in the municipality of Alto Zambeze, Moxico province.

The trip to the border municipality of that general officer, which started on Tuesday, also aims to verify the state of operational, combative and educational-patriotic preparation of the troops of the 30th Motorized Infantry Brigade.

The Army (Força Terrestre) is one of the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), also comprising the National Air Force (FAN) and the Angolan Navy (MGA).

The 30th Motorized Infantry Brigade, stationed in the municipality of Alto Zambeze, is part of the Eastern Military Region, based in the city of Luena, Moxico province, including the command of the 3rd Division, in the province of Lunda Sul and the 32nd Infantry Brigade Motorized, in Lunda Norte.

At the airfield in the village of Cazombo, General Kiteculo, accompanied by the commander of the Eastern Military Region, Lieutenant General David Manuel Cavanda, was received by the municipal administrator, Esmael Keshipoco.
