Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Cuanza Norte (AEKN), Nádia Patrícia Júlio Laranjeira, advocated, this Saturday, in Ndalatando, the need for the government to extend support to all business sectors, for the growth of the economy.
The associative leader underlined that, in recent times, there has been an increase in support measures entirely aimed at agriculture, to the detriment of other sectors, above all, commerce, hotels and services.
He cited, for example, the measures adopted by the government to simplify and reduce bureaucracy in credit granting processes, within the scope of the Credit Support Program (PAC), whose priority lies with agricultural, forestry and livestock raising activities.
Nádia Laranjeira was speaking at a meeting with the local business class, to which she made known the lines of force, for the four-year period 2023/2027, of the current direction of the association, which she leads,
He stated that, as a whole, the business class in Cuanza Norte is experiencing “serious difficulties”, which is why more institutional support for the class is “essential for the region’s growth”.
As a bet, the president of the executive board of AEKN pointed out the reinforcement of the technical capacities of the entrepreneurs, through training.
Dialogue with the association’s partners, especially commercial banks, with a view to finding solutions to reduce barriers to accessing credit, among others.
Entrepreneurs in Cuanza Norte complain, among other things, of the excessive bureaucracy on the part of commercial banks in the processing of the credit granting process, of the difficulties in dealing with the land concession title, a document that qualifies for credit.
Nádia Laranjeira assumed the presidency of the executive board of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Cuanza Norte, last February, after being confirmed in the leadership of AEKN during a general meeting, held in December 2022, in Ndalatando.
He replaced Gilberto Simões, who led the association for four years.
AEKN was founded on July 11, 2017 and brings together close to 50 entrepreneurs.
