Africa-Press – Angola. Car traffic on Avenida Comandante Valódia, banned for the removal of rubble from building number 41, was responded to this Sunday night.

The Civil Protection and Fire Service announced, on Sunday night, the closure of emergency actions on the rubble of the six-story building, without any fatalities or material damage to be assessed.

Among the rubble were found several assets, with emphasis on 134 million 719 thousand kwanzas, in the custody of the authorities who will follow the procedures to return them to the owner, who so far has not yet commented.

The building, located in the Kinaxixi area, Avenida Comandante Valódia, Luanda, collapsed at around 02:00 am on Saturday.

The property, belonging to the private company Fundinveste, had already been evacuated by the authorities a few days ago, after technical expertise revealed a risk of collapse.

The lack of maintenance and changes that impacted the useful life of the structure were at the root of the collapse of building 41, early this Saturday, on Avenida Comandante Valódia, in Luanda.

The incident takes place fifteen years after the fall of the seven-story building of the National Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DNIC), which was located on Rua Senado da Câmara, opposite the Cidadela Desportiva.
