Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Investment Bank and the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement yesterday in Luanda that provides for the first business census of the Chinese private sector in Angola, as part of the strengthening of the commercial partnership. The cooperation will cover Chinese and Angolan companies that are financed with Chinese capital, in the implementation of data collection and analysis of investment volumes, the number of employees, and the main needs of small, medium and large companies.
The weight of companies in the national economy and the level of employability will also be recorded, thus enabling applicants to develop financial solutions that are more appropriate for investment, said the president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce.
The president of the CAC, Luís Cupenala, stated that the project is not exclusive to the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, but is a project of national interest, as well as of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China present in Angola.
“The business census will make it possible to understand the real impact of Chinese companies on the Angolan economy and will serve as a solid basis of information to foster a sustainable partnership, as the collaboration with BAI marks a new phase of dynamism and trust between the business sector of the two countries.”
