Africa-Press – Angola. The National Bank of Angola (BNA) made it mandatory for commercial banks to create at least one bank branch in all the country’s 164 municipalities, in order to facilitate the population’s access to banking services.
The information contained in a Central Bank no 18/22 of 11 October, published in Diário da República clarifies that the measure arises from the need to increase the levels of financial inclusion.
According to the BNA, the banking network in municipal offices can be made up of service points in the forms of fixed branch, mobile branch, bank agents and self-service centres.
