Bruno Albernaz, who was speaking at the launch of the edition taking place from the 22nd to the 26th of May, at the Ombaka National Stadium, in the city of Benguela, said that the number represents an increase of 7 percent in relation to the last edition which brought together a total of 320 companies.

With the motto “Dynalize potential to Transform the Economy”, this edition, like the last, companies based in the province of Benguela will have a 50 percent discount on pavilion occupancy costs.

For this edition, he said, four pavilions (1, 2, 3 and 4) will be available inside and stands outside, in addition to the restaurant and entertainment areas. There will also be a tent in the outdoor area to be used as a conference room.

In addition to national companies, said Bruno Albernaz, there are countries that will participate, through their companies.

“We are working so that we can officially regain participation from countries such as Portugal, Brazil and Turkey, especially those operating in agribusiness”, he maintained.

What is new, he indicated, is the growth compared to last year’s participation, as well as the investment in ICT to assist exhibitors’ activities. The idea, he highlighted, is to connect everyone, with the aim of carrying out the greatest number of businesses and generating the greatest amount of wealth for the direct and indirect participants in the event.

Investors

The province of Benguela, he added, has attracted a number of investors in various sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, tourism, manufacturing industry, logistics, renewable energy and technology in the Center and South of the country.

With a privileged position and equipped with important infrastructures, such as the Benguela Railway and the Port of Lobito, the province plays a dynamic role in the national economy.

For this edition, the organization intends to achieve its objectives, with emphasis on promoting the economic and industrial potential of the southern region of the country, attracting national and international investments, bringing together the main economic and social agents, development of industries heavily dependent on the logistics chain and the consequent generation of jobs.

The provincial vice-governor for the Technical Sector and Infrastructures of Benguela, Adilson Gonçalves, guaranteed that local authorities are creating all the conditions for the event to run smoothly.

Adilson Gonçalves highlighted that the fair is an event of great significance for the economic development of the province and the country in general. It has also proven to be a platform for promoting business.
